To get here they’ve gone through three tough rounds of pitching to packed out audiences. They practised until they were pitch perfect and now the hard work’s paid off. Congratulations to Mytaxiindia, who were announced as winners of PITCH on Centre Stage today.
Their Centre Stage pitch was in front of ZhenFund’s Anna Fang, GGV’s Jenny Lee and Freelancer’s Matt Barrie. They were up against SVET Labs and Tripinsiders, the other PITCH finalists.
Mytaxiindia.com join hands with Paytm for digital payments
AHMEDABAD: mytaxiindia.com, an outstation taxi service startup has entered into a collaboration with Paytm to enable digital payments for its app. Till now, commuters using the app could pay through Payumoney, Cash, Netbanking, Debit Card, Credit Card and EMIs. "The partnership with Paytm is in line with our goal of removing payment hurdles," said Mr. Mohit Rajpal, Co-Founder of mytaxiindia.com. With EMI option, the customers can easily convert the hefty amount into EMIs as taxi booking for multiple days generally leads to big amount of payments.

Indian outstation taxi service provider Mytaxiindia.com on Thursday said it has tied up with online travel agency Musafir.com for a better connectivity from airports to cities.

MyTaxiIndia raises $500,000 from Japanese travel firm
Online taxi hailing service MyTaxiIndia Pvt. Ltd has raised $500,000 in a pre-Series A funding round from Japanese travel major Nihon Kotsu Travel Service Co., marking the first investment for an overseas taxi company in a home-grown counterpart. The company had raised $100,000 in a seed round from the Gurgaon-based Green House Ventures in June.

Japanese travel major Nihon Kotsu Travel Service Co., Limited has invested $0.5 Mn in a pre-Series A round in online taxi hailing service MyTaxiIndia Private Limited.
The funds will be used by the company to enhance its technology platform and bring more vehicles on board. It also plans to foray into 25 more cities by the end of the year. This is the first investment for an overseas taxi company in a domestic counterpart.
