Memorial of Tansen is located near the tomb of Ghaus and serves as a tribute to Tansen. The place conducts annual music festival ‘Tansen Sangeet Samaroh’, in the memory of Tansen, one of Akhar's nine gems.

Suraj Kund was constructed in the 15th century. It is also one of the oldest buildings in Gwalior. Legends have it that Suraj Sen was cured of leprosy by Saint Gwalipa from the water of the pond.
