Later, the project was transferred to the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) soon after its development in 2002. In 2009, the Bombay Flying Club leased Dhule Airport from the MADC and shifted its training operations base here to keep from the jam-packed air-space of Mumbai. The airport has a 150 metre long taxiway that connects the runway to a small terminal building. Presently, the airstrip does not have any navigational aids or night landing facilities.
